I'm sharing some tips to save you time in your travel preparation after my visit to Japan in March 2023.

Tokyo - 3 days
are enough for Tokyo itself.
A little more if you want to do excursions from Tokyo like to Nikko or Kamakura.
In winter Nikko is quite sad, but the onsen remain very pleasant.
This photo was taken at Meiji-jingū Shrine, my favorite site in Tokyo.

Osaka - 1 day
One day is enough to see the city. The cultural difference with Tokyo is not obvious to foreigners.
Regarding Osaka Castle, it is very beautiful from the outside, as well as the park in which it is located. On the other hand, I read quite negative opinions about the interior of the castle, which is very ordinary and crowded, so I did not visit it.
Hiroshima - 1/2 day

The city of Hiroshima does not have much of interest apart from the nuclear bomb museum and this last vestige located in front of the museum.
Half a day is enough to visit the museum.
Note: This museum is really very hard (especially with the audio guide). The goal is to raise awareness among visitors so that such a disaster never happens again.
